Your impact
- You will ensure effective operation, maintenance, and support of a mission critical 3rd party software-based business application within the agreed SLA at one of our customers
- You will be responsible for managing, maintaining and troubleshooting the main application database running on an on-premises Red Hat / Oracle Data Guard cluster
- You will monitor system performance and health, and carry out database clean-up and maintenance sessions
- You will identify and resolve performance bottlenecks or causes of recurring errors as well as maintain a knowledge base for issues
- You will provide logs and audit trails for security monitoring
Your profile
- Engineering degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in IT operations or database/application support roles
- Advanced knowledge of Oracle Data Guard and database monitoring. Knowledge of Oracle database administration concepts and understanding of Oracle Data Guard architecture
- Advanced knowledge of Linux operating system (Red Hat) and experiences with Oracle installations on Linux
- Experience with Windows and server environments
- Scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automation and monitoring tasks
- Working experience with MS Excel and Azure DevOps
- Excellent communication skills in written and oral English (min. B2), interpersonal skills and great attention to details
- Familiarity with ITIL processes related to application operation (incident, problem, change management)
